  • Development, processing, metalworking, fabrication and joining of advanced high strength, high temperature materials based on refractory and reactive metal alloy systems.

  • Processing of cryo milled Aluminum powders to create higher strength Al alloys. PMTI is installing the capability to cryo mill Al powders. Today, PMTI is cryo milling Molybdenum powder.

  • Vacuum brazing of Aluminum heat exchangers used in electronic systems.

  • Application of high and ultra-high vacuum technology to materials processing and testing.

  • Metallurgical services including mechanical testing, metallography, light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive x-ray microanalysis.

  • Development and testing of both particulate and short fiber reinforced metal matrix composites.

  • The design and fabrication of high thermal efficiency vacuum foil insulation systems.
